Ronda 715

Caliber Corner

I cleaned up a watch for a friend, and it turns out to have had a quartz Ronda 715 movement. In my research, I learned it's a fairly easy movement to disassemble and reassemble, so I grabbed an extra movement to practice with.

Seiko NH35A

NH Movement In-House Name Caliber Corner Key Features and Differences
NH34 4R34 NH34 GMT function with additional 24-hour hand for dual time zones, date complication; ideal for travel watches.
NH35 4R35 NH35 Standard three-hand movement with date display; no day or GMT; widely used in entry-level automatics.
NH36 4R36 NH36 Three-hand movement with day and date display; adds weekday functionality over NH35.
NH37 4R37 NH37 Three-hand movement with date and 24-hour subdial; no day display; suited for watches needing extended time tracking.
NH38 4R38 NH38 Basic three-hand movement with no date or day; compatible with open-heart (skeletonized dial) designs for viewing the balance wheel.
NH39 4R39 NH39 Three-hand movement with no date or day, includes 24-hour subdial; often used in open-heart or decorative watches.
NH70 None (variant of NH35) NH70 Fully skeletonized three-hand movement; no date; decorative with visible mechanics, nickel-coated.
NH71 None (variant of NH35) NH71 Skeletonized like NH70 but with gold-plated finish; cosmetic upgrade for open-dial watches.

This is part of a family of movements; these are the "third party" variants of in-house movements.

Sellita SW200/SW200-1

This is the movement I am most interested in building watches around.
